Ellen Handler, Chair, Communications Committee

Ellen Handler has been a resident of Winchester Gardens since January, 2002. During that time she was a co-founder of the Community Chronicle and has been its editor and currently, its managing editor. She has also served as a member of the Recreational Services Committee.

Before coming to Winchester, Ellen lived in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Her most recent position was as Director of Alumni Affairs and Development for the School of Chemical Sciences of the University of Illinois. She has also taught at the School of Social Work and was in charge of Medical Care Evaluation Studies for East Central Illinois. She earned a BA degree from Vassar College, an MA from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.
