Don has worked and served in many jobs, ranging from secondary education and a distribution business to technology sales and to being a professional account manager in the insurance industry. Through all this, a graduate degree in counseling has served him well.
He served a a volunteer instructor of CPR and First Aid for the American Red Cross, as a volunteer firefighter, and a volunteer at many levels of Scouting America. He worked in training others to be effective volunteers and completed training in volunteer leadership in a program recognized by the World Order of the Scout Movement.
Since moving to Masonic Village, Don was elected as president of the Independent Living Resident Association. For two years he worked to help Masonic Village transition from a “stand-alone and charity based” community to a financially viable continuing care community.
