Wendy Gansberg

Treasurer

Having lived in New Jersey all her life, Wendy moved to Meadow Lakes in 2014 from a sister facility, The Atrium at Navesink Harbor. At Meadow Lakes, she quickly became active; writing for the Meadowlark, the monthly newsletter, leading American history classes, and compiling and editing the 50th Anniversary Meadow Lakes Cookbook, which was then published by the community. Currently, she is involved with presentations on New Jersey sights and history, leading another class, and continuing to work on several committees.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Wendy received her Master’s Degree from Montclair University and became a teacher for several years before taking a break to care for her two sons. Wendy returned to the business world for a new field in banking, then moved into insurance where she spent much of her career. Wendy was elected the NJ State Director of the National Association of Insurance Women, representing the state all over the country.

After leaving the business world, she moved to a 55+ community where she became the original editor of their monthly newsletter, The Quill, and remained so for eight years.

Widowed early in her marriage, Wendy raised two sons. Her oldest, Jeffrey, is an attorney and her younger son, David, is an actuary. She has four grandchildren.
