On June 7 (not May 24) the New Jersey Assembly will vote on a bill concerning refundable entrance fees. This is an issue that ORANJ has been working on for some time. Resident Advisory Councils (RACs) are member of ORANJ, The Organization of Residents Associations of New Jersey. Your CCRC is a member of LeadingAge NJ, the organization for providers. Residents Associations and providers often work together on legislation — except when they don’t. On the subject of refundable entrance fees ORANJ and LeadingAge NJ have been on opposite sides of the issue. We are pleased that the bill which ORANJ supports will be before the New Jersey Assembly on June 7.
