-1 Barbara Trought called the meeting to order at 10AM and said that the 2023 Fall Plenary Meeting of ORANJ is tentatively scheduled for 9AM Wednesday October 18, 2023, at Monroe Village. Katherine C. Pearson, Esq. Penn State University, Dickenson Law School, Carlisle, PA has agreed to be the featured speaker at the morning session.
-2 The Gel pens that were discussed at the afternoon program at the Fall 2022 Plenary Meeting at Fellowship Village are being used by many residents of ORANJ communities and are on sale at some community gift shops.
-3 A resident from one of the Springpoint communities started a spirted discussion of the number of security personal on duty during the 3 daily shifts. It appears that in at least one Springpoint community it was to be reduced from 2 to 1 during the daytime period. A possible reason was that at least from Monday to Friday maintenance personnel were available to assist the security officer if help is needed. Others discussed staffing in their communities which varied due resident population. It was suggested that perhaps a survey of security staffing details the ORANJ communities might be helpful. The discussion of this topic continued for the balance of the meeting.
-4 A resident wanted those attending to aware of a helpful website “Parents of Family and Friends of LBQGT” (PFLAG).
