View the report (pdf).
On October 22, 2007, Governor Corzine signed into law the Residents Organization Rights Bill, ORANJ had worked for this law for more than a decade. For the past 16 years, residents associations have been working for compliance with the law, with uneven results. This paper describes compliance and lack thereof, at seven of the 24 CCRCs in New Jersey: Medford Leas, Harrogate, Lions Gate, Oaks at Denville, Cedar Crest, Fellowship Village, and Laurel Circle. A study of the on-campus libraries available to CCRC residents was completed in January 2014. All CCRCs responded. The report describes the answers to a variety of questions, such as number of volumes, types of media, source of funds, donations, loss of books, tracking systems, computers, etc.

View the report (pdf).
Based on a survey of 19 CCRCs, ORANJ prepared a report that recommends how management and residents, planning and working together, can best prepare for future weather-induced emergencies. The primary objective of this effort should be the safety and comfort of residents and staff in the face of increasingly severe and frequent storms be they hurricanes, floods, heat waves or blizzards.
5. 2008 Gift Shop (Convenience Store) Survey
A survey of Convenience/Gift Shops or Nooks was conducted by Fellowship Village in June, 2008. Nineteen CCRCs responded.
2. 2006 Meal Credit Survey
In the summer of 2006, a Meal Credit survey was conducted by Dan Hartley of Winchester Gardens. All but three ORANJ CCRCs responded. Most CCRCs require an absence of a number of consecutive days, most typically two weeks, before meal credit is made available. The CCRCs also varied in their reliance on a bar code or other automated system to register fees and credits.
1. 2005 Pet Policies
In 2005, ORANJ conducted a survey of New Jersey CCRC’s with respect to the possession of pets. A report was issued by Dave Hibberson, president of the Harrogate Residents Association.
